Core loop

Olympus 2249 is a single-player, turn-based cRPG set in post-nuclear dieselpunk America. Dialogue, quests and story bend with your Karmic Type. Battles use positioning, environmental hazards and stamina-powered abilities. Non-combat solutions are explicitly part of the design.

First run expectations

Developers state the Early Access version is fully playable, contains about a quarter of the story, and can take around 3–7 hours depending on character build, playstyle and side quests. All game mechanics are already implemented and balanced for different playstyles, with further refinement planned.

What a lets-play style session can show

Without inventing footage that is not on this wiki:

  1. Character creation / build choice
  2. Early dialogue shaped by Karmic Type
  3. At least one turn-based encounter using positioning and stamina abilities
  4. An optional non-lethal problem solve
  5. Side quest time that stretches toward the upper end of the 3–7 hour range
